US mortgage rates rise with bond yields

The best 30 year refinance FHA loan deals at the bank are being offered for 4.625% carrying an April of 5.670% today. 30 year VA loan deals are 3.25% and April of 3.507%. Shorter term 15 year FRM interest rates are on the books at 3.875% carrying an April of 4.168% today. This was a slight decrease from last week when it averaged 3.20 percent and an increase from this time a year ago when it averaged 2.80 percent.

Long-term mortgage rates ticked up slightly the week of October 2 as the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage rose to 3.85 percent from 3.83 percent a week before. FHA ARM interest rates in the 5 year category are 3.750% with an April of 3.942%. “The 10-year Treasury yield rose eight basis points, while the 30-year mortgage rate increased two basis points to 3.85 percent”.

Mortgage rates have held fairly steady for a while now, but they are expected to rise in the final three months of the year. Shorter term, popular 15 year fixed rate loan interest rates have been published at 3.430% at the bank today and an April of 3.588%.

10 year fixed rate mortgage interest rates are 3.190% today yielding an April of 3.418%. “This should support lower Treasury yields and mortgage rates in the coming week”. 20 year loan interest rates are 3.780% and April of 3.903% today. 7/1 ARMs can be had for 3.375% today and an April of 3.427%. The 7 year refinance ARM deals are being offered for 2.625% today carrying an April of 3.141%.
